BENNY BERRY, Alumni Celebrity of Old Stevenson High School
BENNY sang a Special Song called "WHEN THE TRAINS STILL RAN THROUGH DIXIE" using his own Guitar-Accompaniment.
The video which once appeared on YouTube, showed him leaning against the fence in front of The Old Stevenson Depot in Jeans & a Plaid Shirt.
I especially enjoyed this song, since I remember Benny as one of my students years ago when he was a student at Old Stevenson High School.
Too bad, that everything has become so regulated on the Internet that I can no longer link to the recording on YouTube!

Our community lost a wonderful friend today, Sunday, July 21, 2013.
Mr. James Thomas Carroll (1921-2013)
Better known to most of us as "J.T. Carroll", Mr. Carroll served as Post Master in Stevenson from 1963-1988.
I found "God's Post Office" by Vance Havner at SERMON.NET a fitting tribute to Mr. Carroll.
He will be missed.

Mrs. Glass wanted women to be equal in educational as well as in employment opportunities.
She and her husband LARRY GLASS
presented a multi-generational example
of a large and talented family who did not discriminate because of gender.
" Faye will be missed but her legacy will endure."
